Official Start of Artist Search

I have been working on my character description over the weekend and I have a description. As said in my previous post I am looking for an artist to help me by sending in sketches of action scenes for the short stories I will start posting every few week. I plan to use this blog as a way of promoting the novel and it's eventual sequels which I am working on. I would like to have illustrations before each chapter so for all the artists out there this could be an excellent opportunity to get in on what I hope will be an excellent source of income. Below is a character description to get started with. Ilook forward to seeing what will come out of this search.

Daniel Nightstone is a demigod a son of the Ancient Greek god Hades. Physically speaking his is tallish standing about 6 feet tall, he is built but not heavily muscled. He is over four hundred years old but looks to be in his late 20’s or early 30’s. He has a pair of scars that form a cross from his left ear across his left cheek bone to his left nostril and down his left eye to midway down his cheek, about mouth level. He often forgets to shave and as a result often has a five o’clock shadow. His hair is about shoulder length and lies flat and straight.
He wears a trench coat made from the skin of the vanquished demon, Melinoe. Melinoe was an underworld demon with skin that was pitch black on one side of her body and bone white on the other. She was often seen surrounded by ghosts and his trench should reflect the nature of the material it was made from. When he does take off his trench he can be seen wearing a dark grey sleeveless T-shirt. He has a black tattoo of a crescent moon which takes up most of the space on his left shoulder. Although it is not noticeable from a distance upon closer examination of the tattoo it can be seen that the tattoo is not solid black but filled with graphic depictions of violence.
He carries a pair of large cutlasses Elysium and Tartaros. Elysium being aligned with Heaven has a white blade and may sometimes burn with heavenly golden fire. Tartaros being aligned with Hell has a black blade that may sometimes burn with dark purple and black flames. Both swords have their names written in Greek letters along their lengths. Ελυσθιμ for Elysium and Ταρταροσ for Tartaros.

In Search of Artist

I am thinking of posting some short stories from the universe of the novel I'm writing, but first I want to find an artist I can meet with to get a drawing of the main characters up online. There are plenty in my CIS 120 class and I know a few through Phi Theta Kappa. So wish me luck.

Storm Front

This is a 45 minute video from the first and only season of the Dresden Files television series. It is the eighth episode of the season and the only episode which takes it's plot directly from the book series.

P.S. if you are in a crowded room watch the opening scene with headphones on or with volume way down. The murder of the two half naked victims sounds naughty.

Detectives

My favorite detectives are not the ones that work within the real world but those that dwell in levels of reality that are too strange and unnatural for human comprehension. My favorites are Chicago's resident wizard Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden and the Nightside's own John Taylor, the man who can find anything. I love these books and have been working on my own book within the same genre.
